Dan Menden is an international speaker, best-selling author, trainer and consultant with over 20 years of success in helping organizations improve their performance. Having started his professional career as a high school then university level teacher, Dan eventually found his way into employee training and development at Harley-Davidson Motor Company. He started at Harley-Davidson as a shop floor supervisor and that shop floor experience has never been forgotten as Dan always seeks practical, effective solutions to organizational performance problems.
While at Harley-Davidson, Dan was responsible for transforming dealership training at Harley-Davidson University (HDU) into a global matrix training organization that developed and delivered training to the more than 1,400 Harley-Davidson dealerships throughout the world. While the Dealer Training Director, HDU implemented the largest training initiative in the history of Motor Company, as it provided Harley-Davidson Customer Experience (HDCX) training to more than 98% of the dealer network throughout the world. world.
The HDCX training initiative spearheaded the company’s efforts to provide excellent customer experiences at all of its dealerships. Due to his experience and background, Dan is also an instructor of the CPTM program, where he helps grow and develop other training professionals from a wide variety of industries around the world. Dan has a B.S. Degree in Technological Education and an M.S. Bachelor of Technology Management, both from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, where he also taught as an instructor.
